It happened innocently enough a drive in the country a wrong turn a missed exit and then we were trapped in The Lost World.

A place were time stood still from 60 million years ago. Our only way out was hand to hand combat. What follows is the record of our near death experiences in The Lost World.

I knew we were in trouble as soon as we approached the Lost River and Godzilla smashed our car. We luckily escaped but now we would have to find our way out on foot.

It wasn't long before Laura was accosted by a surly monster. I would have none of this and jumped into the fray to save my beloved wife.

I found my mastery of Kung Fu would be of little help in tackling such an adversary.

The beast tried to strangle the life out of me.

Fortunately I was released when the velociraptor spotted a tasty duckbilled dinosaur.

But our fortune would be short lived. No sooner did I catch my breath when I noticed that Laura was being devoured by a stegosaurus.

He let go of her when out of the woods came King Kong. And while Laura was grateful to not be eaten she did not feel the need to stick around and thank the big ape.

I had ran into Rocket Boy who told me of a way to escape by traveling on the backs of the Time Tortoises. As he was giving me the details a T.Rex came upon us and we fled for our lives.

I was able to reunite with Laura and I told her of Rocket Boy's escape plan. So we ran as fast as we could past the Piasa nesting on the bluff above tortoise island.

Then we came across the most horrible creature of our adventure the hideous CornyJoe Dragon.

Thinking quickly Laura took out her compact mirror and showed the horrible creature it's own visage. Having never seen itself before the creature recoiled in fright leaving us the chance to hitch rides upon the turtle backs and arrive safely home.

It was an experience we will never forget and are glad to be alive to tell.
